Woodleigh School will be open as usual on November 30th and is completely unaffected by the teachers’ strike called by unions. Tomorrow’s highlights include the U9 Rugby festival away to Cundall Manor and the U13 Rugby match vs Red House.
This week Year 5 and Year 6 have been training for their cycling proficiency tests. Pupils practised manoeuvres for setting off, awareness of other road users, junctions and turns. In October Years 7 & 8 passed their tests with flying colours. View the latest photos and a short video below:
Rory Selvey, a year 8 pupil at Woodleigh School, has won a writing competition organised by Malton Museum as part of the Malton Literature and Writing Festival. Year 7&8 have been writing about Malton Museum as part of a persuasive writing unit in English lessons. Earlier this year Malton museum announced that it would close unless a substantial amount of funding was found. Theatre Trip - York Theatre Royal - Thursday 29th September We are going to see a performance of “The Hare and the Tortoise” this Thursday.
