Theatre Trip - York Theatre Royal - Thursday 29th September We are going to see a performance of “The Hare and the Tortoise” this Thursday. Sailing Adventure Returns

Eight weary boys and three equally as weary adults returned from a fabulous few days sailing along the Northumberland coast tonight. Watch this space for photos of our superb trip with sailing in the sun, BBQ on the beach, seals, puffins and maybe a porpoise.

Woodleigh in Rouen adventure

JUST after midnight a very excited party of pupils from Woodleigh School set off on a memorable week-long trip to Rouen in Normandy to stay with families and improve their French. WOODLEIGH School spelled success at an inaugural competition run by the Times for Year Sevens across the UK. Kid's Lit Quiz Success!

Millie Jo Castleton, Fred Weeks, Ellenya Smith and Patrick Litten finished second in the Yorkshire final of the Kid’s Lit Quiz. Facing 50 other teams, Woodleigh scored their highest total ever, 77.5 points, to finish ahead of Scissett Middle School and just behind the winners North Halifax Grammar School.
