Learning Support

Nothing is impossibleDSC 0242 300x1991 Learning Support

The Learning Support department gives specialised one to one support for the development of literacy and numeracy skills of children who would otherwise have difficulty in accessing the curriculum.

Care is taken to avoid withdrawal from key and favourite subjects and emphasis is placed on the importance of happiness and self-esteem, with a belief that all children can realise their potential with support and a willingness to work hard.

The coordinator holds the Hornsby International Dyslexia Centre Diploma (merit) in the teaching of students with specific learning difficulties.

Woodleigh School is a member of CReSTeD.
