History
Woodleigh School is well situated for historical research and field trips. Langton is close to the deserted village of Wharram Percy, and other local sites such as Fountains Abbey, Kirkham Abbey and the city of York.
Children are taught Invaders and Settlers in Key Stage Two and Medieval Realms and Early Modern England in Key Stage Three. A thriving war games club helps pupils understand historical battle strategy. There is also an extensive History library.
